M-CAT program comprises of three rounds, which include First Round - Written Test This written test will be conducted at the examination centers on September 25th, 2008. Based on the result of the written test, top 10% of the participants from each school i.e. 10% from each standard will be identified. Also topper from each standard from each school is also identified.
Second Round - Written Test From all the toppers from each standard, top two students from each standard will be awarded with cash prizes and they will be qualified or the next interview round. The date and centre of examination will be informed later.
Third Round - Interview From the students participating for the interview round, a winner will be selected from each category of LP, UP, High School and Higher Secondary.
Evaluation Scheme Students will be evaluated Standard-wise only (eg. considering the category 4 which includes students of Standard IX and X, the participants will be evaluated separately based on the Standard in which they are studying.
Venue of Examination - All the schools having minimum 150 participants will be considered as a centre of first round written test. Schools with participation below 150, will be informed later of their venue. The second round exam for each district will be conducted in the respective districts itself. Time and venue will be informed. Examination Fee LP and UP - Rs. 25/- for each participant. High School and Higher secondary - Rs. 50/- for each participant.
Syllabus M-CAT provides a scientific evaluation of the aptitude of students for pursuing a career in Information Technology. The test is intended to measure the knowledge till date of the students and hence needs no separate preparation. For the final round we stress on the student's personality and performance and not only on their score and knowledge. The test will be mainly focused on these areas: Basic Mathematics General English Computer Awareness General Knowledge
